Introduced in the Japan in the 80s, drifting has come a very long way since then. In its early days in Japan, it was usually done in street races and it was not as popular amongst people who saw it as a very unsophisticated thing to do. In today’s day and age, drifting is now considered as a competitive sport, and is done at huge levels in countries like the US, Ireland and New Zealand. Later on, we started seeing drifting in Hollywood action movies like Fast and Furious, from where it started becoming a trend. If you are interested in drifting, you have to right place because we will let you in on everything you have to know about it.

Not The Cheapest Thing To Do

It might cost you roughly $25000 per year if you are thinking of doing it frequently, and entering yourself in races. People usually buy second hand cars, and then they have to spend a lot of maintaining it throughout the year. If you are aware of the expenses that come with it, then you are probably willing to make the investment and then enjoy the fun that comes with it. In a lot of the cases, you will end up buying parts at good prices, and even the cars.

Get Down in The Dirt

Drifting is not the cleanest motor sport, but we are assuming that you are already aware of it since you are considering it. Not only will your car be covered in mud but so will you. It is not the mud you have to worry about, you will probably end up getting greasy as well because you will have to check under the hood every time something will come up. But drifters tend to like this aspect of drifting as well, along with the whole adrenaline that comes with it.

Take a Test Run

Before you consider diving into the whole, check it out properly. This means you should take test runs and gets a good idea as to how it really feels. It will not only be financially draining, but you will have to take a lot of time out as well for the races and repairing your car. When you are thinking about buying a car, make sure you do your research and check out the best RC drift cars out there. Also when you do a bit of drifting on your own, you will realize how nauseous you will get. But you will get used to these things with time and practice.

You Will Have Fun

There’s no denying this, and it is a fact. It is a very different kind of experience that you probably won’t get while doing something else. You will meet really cool people that you will compete with but also become really good friends with. The thrill and rush of it won’t compare with anything.
